Chad Wolf has 15 years of public policy experience, having previously served both on Capitol Hill and in the Executive Branch. As a former Assistant Administrator of Transportation Security, Department of Homeland Security, Chad brings extensive experience in policy analysis, legislative and regulatory development, strategic communications, direct lobbying, federal budgeting processes and procurement issues.
In his role at Wexler | Walker, Chad provides strategic guidance, policy expertise and engagement execution to clients across the firm. From large corporations to non-profits and issue specific coalitions, Chad helps clients to develop and implement legislative and regulatory strategies to achieve their goals.
Chad services clients on a wide range of issues including homeland security, defense, financial services, workforce and labor, corporate reputation and political branding.
Chad has specialized experience working in the defense, homeland security and transportation sectors. With an intimate knowledge of security budgets and programs, Chad has represented defense and homeland security contractors, major system integrators and small entrepreneurs.
In addition to his role at Wexler | Walker, Chad has appeared on CNN, FOX News and FOX News Radio to discuss aviation security policies and procedures.
Chad joined Wexler | Walker in 2005 from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA), where he served as the Assistant Administrator for Security Policy. During his service at TSA, Chad was involved in developing regulations and Security Directives to implement the agency’s programs. In this capacity he worked closely with airline executives, airport directors and trade association leaders. He regularly appeared before industry leaders whose operations are regulated by TSA and Congressional staff to explain policies and procedures. At TSA, Chad was the recipient of the United States Secretary of Transportations’ September 11th Service Medal and the TSA Transportation Security Silver Medal.
Prior to his service at TSA, Chad served over two and half years on the staff of U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE) with responsibility for transportation, homeland security, and appropriations. Chad also worked for Senator Phil Gramm (R-TX) early in his career.
Originally from Plano, TX, Chad graduated magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University, has taken advanced coursework at the Naval War College and has a Master Certificate in Government Contract Management from Villanova University. Chad lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife and two sons.
